Define the visual target
Record the intended color family, gloss, texture, coverage and relationship to the ceramic body and decoration.
- Use physical references where possible.
- State which surfaces and viewing angles matter most.
Control the sample record
Give every trial a clear code and link it to the body, glaze preparation, firing route and review comments. Digital images support communication but do not replace the physical reference.
Agree comparison conditions
Review samples under agreed light, distance and background. Record acceptable natural or process variation before production approval.
